TL;DR
Construction Technical Program Manager (Aerospace): Delivering capital construction projects and infrastructure for manufacturing, testing, and launch operations with an accent on schedule, cost, risk, and cross-organizational execution. Focus on integrating field-level reporting, leading root cause analyses and recovery plans, and solving complex construction issues across multiple concurrent projects.

Location: Space Coast, Florida, United States; onsite construction program role.

Base pay range for Washington applicants: $145,188.00–$203,263.20 per year; other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

  • Lead cross-organizational capital construction projects through initiation, planning, execution, completion, and close-out.
  • Coordinate Construction Managers, engineering, procurement, EH&S, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Integrate project control data and field-level reporting into program schedules, budgets, risks, and leadership updates.
  • Improve construction delivery processes and investigate schedule or cost deviations through root cause analysis and recovery planning.
  • Develop solutions for complex construction problems involving schedule, cost, field conditions, and competing performance priorities.
  • Mentor Project and People Managers and contribute to peer reviews, performance assessments, and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience planning and managing construction projects or programs in a capital delivery environment.
  • Experience managing requirements, scope, schedule, integration, cost, schedule performance, and cost or rate management.
  • Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple field construction leads and synthesize field input into program-level status.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or project management.
  • Experience with facility construction or infrastructure supporting manufacturing, test, or launch operations.
  • Knowledge of MEP, structural systems, site utilities, critical path scheduling, risk management, and cost account management.
  • PMP certification and Earned Value Management System experience.
