Senior Software Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote within the United States; US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable enterprise web applications.
• Build backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js, and responsive frontend interfaces with Angular, HTML5, and CSS.
• Architect and operate secure, scalable AWS environments using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Design RESTful APIs and microservices that support efficient data flow across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Guide technical teams, conduct code reviews, establish development practices, and drive CI/CD initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and UI/UX designers in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 8 years, or Ph.D. with 3–5 years.
• Active CompTIA Security+ / IAT Level II certification and an active Secret clearance.
• US citizenship is required.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience, with proficiency in Angular, HTML5, CSS, and Node.js.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
• Experience with object-oriented programming principles.

Nice to have

• SQL experience with a major database such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• API design and documentation experience with JSON or OpenAPI.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Experience with vulnerability analysis and remediation.
