Manager, Asset Recovery & Remarketing (Consumer Finance)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Travel for vendor meetings, conferences, training, leadership meetings, and other business activities may be required, including occasional overnight or weekend travel.

What you will do

• Lead repossession, transportation, storage, recovery, remarketing, and liquidation activities for defaulted consumer loan accounts.
• Develop recovery strategies, performance standards, metrics, forecasts, and reporting to maximize proceeds and reduce credit losses.
• Oversee servicing partners and third-party vendors through scorecards, audits, site visits, invoice management, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Manage voluntary and involuntary repossessions, skip-tracing activities, collateral location, notices, authorizations, post-sale documentation, and chain-of-custody controls.
• Manage auction relationships, digital sales platforms, dealer partnerships, collateral valuation, transportation, reconditioning, and disposition timelines.
• Lead compliance initiatives, system implementations, process improvements, training, policies, and operational projects in collaboration with Collections, Titles, Bankruptcy, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and servicing teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge of consumer lending, loan servicing, repossession, recovery, remarketing, collateral management, and consumer finance regulations.
• Understanding of UCC Article 9 requirements, bankruptcy processes, and repossession compliance.
• At least five years of experience in collections, repossessions, asset recovery, or remarketing, including three years of supervisory experience managing recovery operations.
• Experience overseeing third-party repossession and remarketing vendors, contract administration, budgets, operational metrics, and strategic business planning.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, management, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements; successful completion of a pre-employment background check and continued eligibility are required.
