Senior Software Engineer, AI Agent Platform

What you will do

• Design, build, and own significant platform components from technical design and API definition through rollout and iteration.
• Develop durable agent execution systems with state management, checkpointing, retries, idempotency, and recovery for long-running workflows.
• Build RAG ingestion, embedding, indexing, retrieval, insight, evaluation, and skills marketplace services.
• Develop integrations, APIs, SDKs, deployment infrastructure, and developer-facing tools for consuming teams.
• Define SLOs, observability, alerting, capacity planning, and resilience practices for production systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, postmortems, design reviews, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production backend systems at scale.
• Experience owning service or major feature delivery end to end.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or a comparable language.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals, including concurrency, consistency, fault tolerance, data modeling, API design, and scalability.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, Kubernetes or other container platforms, monitoring, alerting, on-call support, and incident response.
• Experience scaling systems or improving reliability through SLOs, performance tuning, capacity planning, or failure-mode reduction.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures, internal developer platforms, multi-tenant services, or SDKs.
• Experience with GenAI applications, agentic harnesses, RAG systems, evaluation frameworks, or AI skills ecosystems.
• Experience with data pipelines, analytics systems, observability tooling, SRE practices, Azure, AWS, or managed agent services.
• Understanding of AI security and governance, including prompt injection, sandboxing, and third-party tool security.
