Systems Engineer I

Location: Remote; open to applicants in Mexico only. Schedule: 12p-8p EST, Monday-Friday.

Pay rate: MXN 25,000-29,000 per month.

What you will do

• Create and maintain user accounts, security access, permissions, client workgroups, and domains.
• Monitor servers, identify performance concerns, and troubleshoot system issues.
• Install server software, apply security patches, update applications, and remove unused software.
• Perform backups and preventative maintenance for client systems.
• Resolve user connectivity issues, provide technology guidance, and escalate complex problems.
• Support communications hardware installations, minor equipment repairs, and customer relationship management.

Requirements

• Associate degree required.
• Two years of experience in networking or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of client hardware, operating systems, standard systems administration, and server maintenance.
• Strong customer-service communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while following technical and customer procedures.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology.
• A+ certification, OEM equipment certifications, or Microsoft certifications.
• Familiarity with ASTEA.
