Intake Lead

Location: Rockville, Maryland, or remote within the continental United States (CONUS); up to 10% CONUS travel required.

Salary: $148,000–$162,000 per year, with potential additional compensation such as bonuses.

What you will do

• Own the Requirements Analysis Proposal intake process and serve as the primary client contact for government requests.
• Lead review sessions with technical, security, business, and Agile delivery stakeholders to produce complete proposals.
• Establish and manage a unified, traceable intake workflow using Jira, SharePoint, or other approved platforms.
• Develop project scope, team size, timelines, labor mix, risks, and cost estimates for new capabilities, enhancements, integrations, migrations, and sustainment work.
• Track intake status through dashboards, produce weekly and monthly metrics, and escalate stalled proposals.
• Translate approved proposals into staffing plans, support business development, create reusable playbooks, and identify applications for AI development tools.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience working on federal IT programs in demand management, requirements intake, or product management.
• At least 3 years of experience estimating time, effort, and team size for Agile software projects.
• Experience designing and managing intake workflows with Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, or Microsoft Power Apps.
• Strong skills in Jira workflow configuration, Excel-based project estimation, requirements decomposition, risk identification, and stakeholder facilitation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Background Investigation and VA PIV credential.

Nice to have

• Experience with VA IT processes.
• Experience with supply chain systems such as Maximo or Nuvolo.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software tools.
• SAFe certification, PMP, or CAPM.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
