Sr. Manager, BIM/VDC

Location: Remote, United States; occasional travel to Keel sites or vendor and partner locations may be required.

Base salary: $200,000–$240,000 USD, plus an end-of-year cash bonus and yearly equity grant.

What you will do

• Define and own BIM standards, BIM Execution Plan templates, LOD matrices, modeling specifications, naming conventions, and model federation protocols.
• Lead multi-discipline BIM/VDC coordination across architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, construction, and trade teams.
• Establish clash detection, issue tracking, model-based quantity takeoff, 4D scheduling, and estimating workflows.
• Review federated models and BIM Execution Plans, oversee coordination logs and as-built documentation, and support RFPs and consultant selection.
• Build and mentor an internal BIM/VDC team while managing engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and external consultants.
• Develop roadmaps for digital twins, DCIM integration, reality capture, and AI-assisted clash detection.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive BIM/VDC experience, including large-scale hyperscale, colocation, or other mission-critical construction projects.
• Experience serving as a BIM/VDC technical owner or discipline lead and managing or mentoring staff, consultants, or trade coordination teams.
• Deep knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, and Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of clash detection, model federation, multi-discipline coordination, LOD frameworks, BIM Execution Planning, and ISO 19650 principles.
• Experience with 4D scheduling, model-based quantity takeoff and estimating, reality capture, scan-to-BIM, DCIM, and digital twin platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field; strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Autodesk certifications in Revit or Navisworks.
• Professional certification such as buildingSMART, Certified Construction Industry Technologist, PMP, or similar.
• Experience with LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry, drone surveying, and industry organizations such as buildingSMART or AGC BIM Forum.
