Portfolio Finance Manager (Energy)

What you will do

• Manage the financial and commercial performance of a portfolio of battery energy storage system projects across the Americas.
• Partner with project managers to track performance against budget and maintain monthly revenue, cost, and margin estimates at completion.
• Ensure compliance with accounting guidelines, commercial contract terms, and order-to-cash internal controls.
• Improve project performance through change orders, supplier claims, accurate forecasts, and risk mitigation.
• Review project transactions, organize contract reviews, report non-conformance costs, and manage penalties such as performance guarantees and liquidated damages.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery, quality, and process improvement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of financial management experience on large projects, preferably in the energy sector.
• Experience with engineering, procurement and construction projects, equipment supply, and services agreements.
• Advanced knowledge of project accounting, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, project lifecycles, commercial contracts, and project risk management.
• Experience negotiating directly with customers and suppliers.
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Unifier, Primavera, or similar systems, plus strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship is required.
