Advanced QC Technician - Weekend Shift

Location: On-site in Ames, Iowa, United States; the posting also lists Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Salary: $27.00 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus pay.

What you will do

• Prepare laboratory standard solutions, including standards traceable to N.I.S.T. when possible.
• Release conforming materials to operations or stock and halt shipments of nonconforming or questionable materials.
• Discuss test results and material dispositions with Analytical Services and Operations.
• Maintain test results, equipment recertification and calibration records, product history files, delivery records, and product release documentation.
• Procure, store, file, and dispose of tested reference samples and maintain a clean laboratory area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum two years of scientific laboratory experience.
• At least one year of college-level chemistry with laboratory coursework.
• Proficiency in analytical laboratory techniques, including standard solution preparation, dilutions, and titrations.
• Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to document and analyze information.
• Ability to work on-site at the designated US facility.
