Sr Mgr, Data Center Operations

Location: Must work on site at the Secaucus, New Jersey data center; locations also include New York, New York. The role supports US operations and requires flexibility for day and night shifts, on-call rotations, and regular workplace attendance.

Base salary: $140,250–$181,500 per year, plus potential incentive compensation and long-term equity participation.

What you will do

• Oversee 24/7 operations, physical security, environmental systems, capacity, maintenance, and availability across Cboe-owned and colocation data centers.
• Manage customer cross-connects, latency-equalized connectivity, structured cabling, carrier points of entry, and installation of equipment.
• Manage colocation provider SLAs, escalations, vendor relationships, CAPEX/OPEX planning, and contract negotiations.
• Lead compliance, audit readiness, KPI analysis, capacity forecasting, and operational improvement across regulated infrastructure.
• Develop data center standards and long-term infrastructure roadmaps aligned with organizational needs.
• Lead, mentor, and support data center engineers while collaborating with Network Operations, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on data center operations experience, including at least 5 years leading or managing technical teams.
• Experience managing colocation or third-party data center providers, enforcing SLAs, and handling escalations.
• Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical environments, incident response, root-cause analysis, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Experience with MAC and change management, MOP documentation, equipment and cabling installation, asset management, and shift or on-call coverage.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• CDCP, CDCS, CDCMP, BICSI RCDD, ITIL Foundation, CCNA, or CCNP certification.
• Experience in financial services, trading, exchange, low-latency, or customer cross-connect environments.
• Experience with SOX, SOC 2, DORA, structured cabling standards, DCIM, or asset management tools.
