Engineering Team Lead (Data Science)

Location: Hybrid role based in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Gush Dan, Israel

What you will do

• Lead a Detection and Response Engineering team in designing and deploying scalable data infrastructure.
• Guide the development of products including fraud detection, agentic visibility, transaction monitoring, and identity protection capabilities.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Research, Security, and other cross-functional teams on business needs and security standards.
• Manage the technical backlog, product milestones, and secure, high-quality deployments.
• Identify and mitigate security risks across the data platform.
• Define methodologies for infrastructure performance, scalability, and quality while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading data-science engineering teams.
• Proficiency in Node, Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kubernetes.
• Strong leadership, backlog management, cross-functional collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.
• Experience managing security risks and delivering scalable, high-quality, compliant systems in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of distributed computing platforms such as Flink, Spark, or Beam.
• Experience with microservices, Kafka, Airflow, MLOps, and CI/CD.
• Background in identity management, risk assessment, or fraud detection.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
