R&D Director of Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor multiple cross-functional teams of engineering managers and developers building scalable, reliable subscription management products.
• Define the engineering strategy, procedures, and workflows needed for rapid innovation and enterprise-grade product quality.
• Develop and execute an AI enablement roadmap to accelerate the software development lifecycle.
• Build a culture of collaboration, automation, continuous improvement, and developer productivity.
• Partner with product, sales, finance, executive leadership, and engineering stakeholders to translate business goals into engineering priorities.
• Support successful product adoption by customers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing diverse R&D teams and managers.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and customer management skills.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps-focused organizations.
• Passion for empowering developers and improving productivity through platform engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering scalable cloud or SaaS services.
• Experience operating in multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as hybrid-cloud environments.
