What you will do

• Maintain and repair mechanical process equipment and piping systems.
• Use hand, portable, and stationary power tools safely.
• Troubleshoot equipment in operation and apply root cause analysis to failures and repairs.
• Participate in the plant rescue team or fire brigade as required.
• Work shifts, respond to call-outs, and support additional assigned maintenance work.
• Follow site quality-management-system requirements and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Safe work practices for chemical plant maintenance and compliance with safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and functional millwright skills, including alignment, couplings, belts, and pulleys.
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, hydraulic systems, and safe use of maintenance tools.
• Ability to work in high or confined spaces, lift 25–50 lb frequently and 50–100 lb occasionally with assistance.
• Willingness to work shifts, respond to call-outs, and work in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn SAP and Lotus.

Nice to have

• Experience drawing and fabricating lined, screwed, and welded piping systems.
• Rigging, heavy-lift, pipefitting, welding, steelwork, or heavy-construction experience.
• Experience with FRP, glass-lined equipment, exotic metals, or mobile and heavy equipment.
• Proactive preventive-maintenance approach and strong written and electronic communication skills.
