Maintenance Mechanic 1 - 1st Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States. Onsite, first shift from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM; overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour. The listed national annual compensation range is $55,000–$59,000.

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures, including AC/DC circuits, pneumatics, and equipment errors.
• Test equipment, analyze malfunctions, conduct rebuilds, and maintain repair, calibration, and testing records.
• Assist operators with minor maintenance issues and communicate complex problems to support groups.
• Support engineering upgrades and projects, recommend repair priorities, and implement performance improvements.
• Train other technicians and assist Level 3 Maintenance Technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Typically four to five years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in at least two areas of printing, bindery, or packaging machine maintenance.
• Experience with electronics, pneumatics, Windows-based PC applications, and intermediate AC/DC electrical troubleshooting using a multimeter.
• Ability to use fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, cutters, grinders, torches, and welders.
• Ability to perform physical labor, stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Mechanical and/or electronic coursework.
• Experience with root cause analysis and performance improvement activities.
