TL;DR
Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++): Designing testbeds, telemetry software, and data collection systems for Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking systems with an accent on embedded development, control-system modeling, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. Focus on analyzing system data, integrating designs with cross-functional teams, and troubleshooting PAT system issues.

Location: 100% onsite in Lexington, Massachusetts; must live within 100 miles of Lexington. US citizenship is required, and the role requires the ability to obtain an active Secret Clearance; interim clearance is sufficient to start.

What you will do

  • Design testbeds to assess Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking (PAT) systems.
  • Develop telemetry and data collection software for system testing.
  • Test and validate PAT systems using hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Analyze collected data and troubleshoot PAT system issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs for testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience with C/C++ programming and embedded system development.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, control-system modeling, and analysis tools.
  • Development experience on Linux or another embedded operating system.
  • Familiarity with camera interfaces, image processing techniques, version control systems such as Git, and PAT systems.
  • US citizenship and eligibility to obtain an active Secret Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree.
  • Knowledge of analog electronics and mixed-signal design.
  • Strong understanding of control theory, including PID control, state-space analysis, and feedback loops.
