Senior Software Developer (Fullstack)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.

Salary: CAD 107,000–157,300 annual base salary for Canada-based roles; offers may exceed this range based on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, API, and platform integration layers.
• Provide architectural direction for scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing web applications.
• Build and guide modern web experiences using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, REST and GraphQL APIs, cloud services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own technical deliverables from design through implementation, validation, release, and post-production monitoring.
• Improve web performance, observability, reliability, accessibility, testing, deployment workflows, and developer productivity.
• Align multiple engineering and business teams, communicate technical trade-offs, and mentor senior and mid-level developers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on full-stack web development expertise.
• Deep experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, or similar frontend technologies.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production deployments.
• Strong system design, architectural decision-making, web performance, accessibility, security, scalability, reliability, and observability skills.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives and influence technical direction across teams without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale web, commerce, marketing technology, or customer-facing digital experience platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, content management systems, experimentation, personalization, analytics, or commerce checkout flows.
• Experience with micro-frontends, monorepos, shared component libraries, design systems, or platform engineering.
• Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Catchpoint, Splunk, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
• Exposure to AI-assisted engineering, developer productivity tooling, or agentic engineering workflows.
