Software Engineer – Full Stack (Loom Billing & Integrations)

Location: Fully remote, but must be located in British Columbia, Canada; Pacific Time zone alignment preferred

Salary: CA$117,900–CA$153,925 base pay per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end full-stack features in a scalable distributed cloud environment.
• Develop accessible, responsive user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Build backend REST APIs and microservices for billing, subscriptions, and platform migration pipelines.
• Integrate payment systems with internal identity and provisioning systems.
• Configure observability, monitoring, alerting, and error reporting to maintain platform reliability.
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, testing, documentation, and agile development routines.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and operating production web applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
• Experience developing and maintaining backend microservices and RESTful APIs with Node.js, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, cloud platforms such as AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Mocha, with a focus on clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a remote-first environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with billing, payments, subscription platforms, or financial systems.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
