Incident Response Senior Consultant (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote; ability to travel on short notice for up to 30% of the time.

Base salary: $95,000–$140,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead incident response engagements for organizations facing advanced persistent threats, organized crime, and hacktivist activity.
• Develop and apply threat-hunting methods across large datasets to identify malicious actors.
• Conduct intrusion investigations under the direction of outside counsel.
• Perform host and network forensics across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Perform basic malware analysis and develop tactical and strategic remediation plans.
• Present written and verbal findings, recommendations, and reports to customer management, regulators, and legal counsel.

Requirements

• Experience leading teams in a matrixed consulting environment.
• Background in incident response, computer forensics, network forensics, reverse engineering, incident remediation, network operations, or cloud incident response.
• Knowledge of network protocols and tools such as Bro/Zeek or Suricata, plus experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP incident response methodologies.
• Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to complete technical work independently and communicate findings to clients and internal teams.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• BA/BS or MA/MS in computer science, engineering, mathematics, information security, cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant experience or training may substitute for a degree.
