Cyber Security Analyst, Senior (High Level Clearance Required)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, Virginia, United States; minimum two days per week supporting the Arlington-based program, with the remainder teleworking. US citizenship is required.

Salary: $108,476–$184,409 per year

What you will do

• Support research and development of cyber analytic capabilities for federal cybersecurity programs.
• Augment operational cyber analysts and provide consulting for detection and threat-hunting activities.
• Advise on data preparation, analytics implementation, visualizations, and use of cybersecurity tools.
• Analyze existing tools and processes, identify efficiency improvements, and define functional requirements.
• Deliver ad hoc training and identify technical training gaps for cyber analyst teams.
• Participate in post-engagement reviews and communicate progress and challenges to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, master’s degree with 10+ years, or equivalent experience and specialized training in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience, including threat hunting, incident response, investigations, or technical reporting.
• At least 5 years of experience with network security analysis and IDS tools, packet capture, NetFlow data, malware, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.
• Experience with query languages such as SQL or KQL and advanced dashboards such as Kibana or Splunk.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and knowledge bases for identifying known threat-actor tactics, techniques, and procedures, plus 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Active high-level security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Python or JavaScript scripting experience.
• Databricks Intelligence Platform experience and system vulnerability assessment experience.
• Linux/Unix and Windows security knowledge.
• Scaled Agile Framework experience.
• CompTIA Security+ or higher certification.
