Senior Onboarding Consultant – Carbon & GHG Management (f/m/d)

Location: Munich or Madrid; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office. Onboardings run largely remotely, with travel below 10%.

What you will do

• Lead complex customer onboardings end to end, including scoping, configuration, data integration, key-user training, go-live, and handover to Customer Success.
• Define project effort and budgets, manage booked hours, and identify follow-up sales opportunities when scope or consumption increases.
• Create onboarding packages, checklists, self-service content, and standardized solutions for recurring use cases.
• Review project plans and configurations, coach junior consultants, and support difficult customer situations.
• Collaborate with Solution Experts on edge cases, recurring questions, and product gaps.
• Build relationships with customer decision-makers and document stakeholder maps for the handover to Customer Success.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in SaaS implementation or consulting in carbon accounting or sustainability reporting, with full customer responsibility.
• Practical knowledge of the GHG Protocol, Scope 1–3 accounting, emission-factor selection, and defensible footprint development.
• Familiarity with CSRD and ESRS E1; knowledge of CBAM or product carbon footprints is beneficial.
• Understanding of data models, interfaces, and configuration; coding is not required.
• Experience with ERP, energy, or logistics data integration is a strong advantage.
• Fluent English required; German or Spanish is a plus.
