Director of Product Management (Security)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Salary: $210,000–$280,000 for Tier 2 or $240,000–$310,000 for Tier 1, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for security offerings, including build-versus-buy decisions.
• Define security investments and work closely with engineering on database security, networking, and identity management.
• Partner with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to deliver secure products.
• Translate complex security requirements into product specifications, user stories, and prioritized backlogs.
• Drive go-to-market activities, including positioning, sales enablement, and documentation.
• Measure security feature performance, represent the roadmap externally, and guide other product managers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS.
• Sustained experience with security products or features and organizational-level security strategy.
• Hands-on knowledge of database security principles, networking security, and identity and access management.
• Strong program management, planning, execution, risk management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience representing products to customers, analysts, or industry audiences and explaining technical security topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience guiding or mentoring other product managers and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
