Mobile VMU Technician

Location: Greenford, United Kingdom; field-based work at customer locations with travel between sites in the designated area

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, modifications, and diagnostic analysis on customer vehicles and ancillary equipment.
• Travel between customer sites and attend locations as required to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose faults, fit replacement parts correctly, and ensure warranty claims comply with warranty terms.
• Complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets, shift handovers, and other operational documentation accurately and on time.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external customers and contribute to continuous improvement across mobile operations.
• Follow company, industry, and legal health, safety, and environmental standards, including safe systems of work, PPE, housekeeping, and incident reporting.

Requirements

• Mechanical technical background with the ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision.
• Experience in a mechanical environment and the ability to read wiring diagrams and technical information.
• Computer literacy and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Full driving licence required.
• Flexibility to work at different customer locations when required.
• GCSEs in Mathematics and English, electrical and mechanical certificates, NVQ in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience are desirable.
