Social Media Associate (Beauty)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Concept, script, film, edit, and publish social-first beauty content across platforms.
• Write captions and short-form video scripts aligned with brand voice, platform trends, and campaign goals.
• Monitor emerging social trends and turn them into timely content opportunities.
• Support content capture during shoots and ensure social-first requirements are met.
• Contribute to social calendars, campaign planning, and cross-functional marketing initiatives.
• Track production milestones, collaborate with creative and marketing stakeholders, and optimize content using performance insights.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
• Deep understanding of social platforms, trends, and internet culture.
• Strong video editing and content creation skills, especially short-form video.
• Experience managing timelines, stakeholders, and multiple campaigns.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively across teams.
• Comfort appearing on camera and acting as a brand voice.

Nice to have

• Experience with social media management and measurement platforms such as Sprout Social or Dash Hudson.
• Knowledge of skincare, beauty, hair, and cosmetics trends.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
