Senior Actuary (Healthcare)

Location: Remote in the United States; Illinois location, with Eastern and Central time zones preferred

Salary: $134,600–$249,000 per year

What you will do

• Run and analyze market-level results using CDPS+RX or similar risk adjustment models.
• Serve as the point of contact for an assigned group of markets.
• Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to calculate financial outcomes.
• Develop probability tables from statistical and related data.
• Determine equitable methods for distributing money for insurance benefits.
• Support risk adjustment analytics, complex data validation, quality assurance, and process automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• Either 7+ years of actuarial experience with an ASA designation or 5+ years of actuarial experience with an FSA designation.
• Fellow or Associate in the Society of Actuaries certification and MAAA membership.
• Strong coding and data analytics skills, particularly SQL and large-scale data analysis.
• Experience with data validation, data manipulation, and quality assurance.
• Ability to work remotely in the United States; Eastern and Central time zone availability is preferred.

Nice to have

• Healthcare actuarial experience, especially Medicaid experience.
• Experience with risk adjustment models, SAS, Snowflake, healthcare data, and process automation.
