Pricing Actuary, Casualty

Location: Hybrid position based out of offices in Warren, New York City, Stamford, or Philadelphia, United States

Salary: $119,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide senior management with strategic information and analytical support.
• Develop and enhance pricing and accumulation models for the Primary Casualty business.
• Model exposures, summarize outputs, and communicate results.
• Research vendor models and third-party data and recommend purchases.
• Collaborate with underwriting, catastrophe modeling, and enterprise risk management teams.
• Work with underwriters and underwriting assistants to price and model complex accounts.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in property-casualty insurance, including significant commercial lines pricing experience.
• Approaching ACAS.
• Expertise in Excel.
• Strong written communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to learn software tools quickly.
• Ability to work autonomously, take responsibility, and respond flexibly to dynamic business needs and tight turnaround times.

Nice to have

• Pricing or modeling experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel VBA, Power BI, R, SAS, or Python.
