What you will do

• Lead the editorial responsibility and strategic development of Aquaculture Research and another aquaculture journal.
• Drive content acquisition, manuscript submissions, and portfolio growth across aquaculture and ecology journals.
• Build and maintain networks of authors, peer reviewers, editorial board members, universities, and research institutes.
• Evaluate manuscripts, contribute to peer review and editorial decisions, and uphold publishing ethics and best practices.
• Represent the journal portfolio at conferences and through in-person and virtual outreach activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support a culture of trust, respect, and high performance.

Requirements

• PhD in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Aquatic Ecology, Aquatic Animal Health, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Excellent research background and strong knowledge of current developments in the subject area.
• Strong understanding of scientific publishing, commissioning, and peer review; publishing industry experience is highly desired.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with excellent organization and time management.
• Collaborative, diplomatic, flexible, and self-motivated approach with the ability to achieve results through influence and engagement.
• Willingness to travel and represent the journal portfolio at conferences and research institutes.
