Senior ASIC Verification Engineer (ASIC)

Location: Onsite in Kanata, Ottawa, Canada

Annual salary: $109,000–$174,000 CAD

What you will do

• Develop innovative verification strategies for Wavelogic functional blocks and subsystems.
• Analyze architecture and functional requirements and collaborate with systems engineers, digital designers, and architects.
• Create verification plans, functional coverage plans, and formal verification plans.
• Build testbench environments and components, including agents, scoreboards, and test scenarios using SystemVerilog UVM and C where applicable.
• Perform coverage-driven and formal verification, monitor regressions, and debug failures with designers.
• Report verification status regularly.

Requirements

• BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or another applicable scientific discipline.
• Familiarity with formal verification methods.
• Familiarity with OTN, B100G, and Ethernet standards and protocols.
• Programming experience with Python, Make, Bash, object-oriented programming, C, C++, or SystemC.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and methodically solve sophisticated technical problems.
