Data Engineer (Azure)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal — hybrid, two days per week

Salary: €2,400–€2,700 net per month, including fixed and variable components, meal allowance, remote work allowance, and benefits.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain reliable cloud-native data pipelines.
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT workflows, data architectures, and technical architectures.
• Develop data solutions using SQL, Spark, Python, and scripting languages.
• Work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or comparable technologies across cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot coding issues, optimize workflows, and perform code reviews and testing.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering, Product Management, and other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-native solutions and data architecture.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or comparable technologies.
• Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Spark, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• DevOps or DataOps experience, including CI/CD for data.
