Senior Software Engineer (Capture)

Location: US - Remote

Base pay: $130,000–$170,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and low-latency media ingestion pipelines.
• Acquire, normalize, and deliver real-time and recorded audio, video, and telephony metadata from Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Google Meet, Amazon Connect, and Genesys.
• Build integrations using SIPREC, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, and enterprise contact-center technologies.
• Lead projects from architecture and technical design through implementation, deployment, documentation, and production support.
• Diagnose distributed-systems issues using logs, metrics, traces, and system tests while improving reliability, capacity, and security.
• Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, architecture decisions, mentoring, and shared on-call support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and operating distributed backend services in production.
• Strong proficiency in Go or a comparable compiled language, with Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance-tuning fundamentals.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or CDK, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience diagnosing complex distributed-systems issues and participating in on-call production support.
• Strong analytical, communication, ownership, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time communication and streaming technologies such as SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, or GStreamer.
• Experience integrating telephony, contact-center, CPaaS, or meeting platforms.
• Experience with Kafka or MSK, distributed caching, REST or gRPC APIs, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with security practices in compliance-sensitive cloud environments.
