Senior .NET Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Ruse or Sofia, Bulgaria

What you will do

• Design and develop high-quality financial services using C#/.NET or Java.
• Build and maintain scalable ASP.NET service-side applications focused on long-term reliability.
• Design and operate distributed messaging, event-streaming, and event-sourcing solutions with Pulsar or Kafka.
• Develop and optimize NoSQL data solutions with MongoDB.
• Integrate observability, telemetry, monitoring, and diagnostics platforms such as Datadog, Elasticsearch, and Sentry.
• Collaborate across teams, build reusable infrastructure, and promote consistent engineering standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong systems engineering expertise.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET; Java experience is also acceptable.
• Experience designing APIs and building distributed, event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Pulsar or Kafka, including event streaming, topic design, consumer groups, and replay strategies.
• Experience with financial calculations, pricing engines, quantitative models, MongoDB, and observability tools.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across functions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of fixed income or securities pricing concepts.
• Experience with Databricks or Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with SignalR or WebSocket-based systems.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
