Senior SQL Server Database Administrator

Location: Fully remote within the United States; Washington, D.C. is listed for the position.

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, install, configure, and maintain enterprise SQL Server environments across multiple platforms.
• Manage SQL Server clustering, Always On Availability Groups, and other high-availability and disaster-recovery configurations.
• Develop and optimize T-SQL stored procedures, views, triggers, scripts, indexes, queries, and statistics.
• Automate database administration with PowerShell, SQL scripting, and other automation tools.
• Lead database migrations, schema design, integration planning, and cloud-readiness initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance, lead incident response and root-cause analysis, and maintain operational documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of SQL Server database administration experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise with SQL Server, SQL, SQL Clustering, SQL Scripting, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, and MS Access.
• Experience supporting standalone and clustered databases, HA/DR environments, performance tuning, and database automation.
• Strong PowerShell and T-SQL skills with excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Ability to satisfy suitability, public-trust, biometric identity verification, and background-check requirements.
