VP, AI Strategy (AI)

Salary: $200,000–$490,000 base salary

What you will do

• Own the strategic roadmap for organization-wide AI adoption and prioritize high-impact initiatives aligned with business outcomes.
• Partner with engineering, product, and data teams to architect and oversee scalable AI solution implementations.
• Build and lead the AI engineering team, including setting technical standards, hiring, and developing talent.
• Establish AI governance, risk, and compliance frameworks for responsible and regulation-aligned development.
• Communicate AI strategy and progress to executive leadership and the board, translating technical complexity into business impact.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, models, and infrastructure, and define metrics to guide investment and resource allocation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or AI architecture, including 3+ years in leadership or an individual-contributor architect role.
• Demonstrated success shipping AI/ML systems to production in regulated or complex environments.
• Strong technical fluency in machine learning frameworks, deployment infrastructure, and MLOps.
• Experience building and scaling technical teams and hiring and developing engineers.
• Ability to bridge technical and business discussions and translate strategy into execution roadmaps.
• Experience with AI governance, ethical considerations, and organizational change management.
