Propulsion Test Technician (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Set up, execute, monitor, and tear down propulsion tests for thrusters, flow controllers, PPUs, and related hardware.
• Operate propulsion test stands, vacuum chambers, pumping systems, instrumentation, data acquisition equipment, and associated ground support equipment.
• Install and remove test articles, fluid connections, electrical interfaces, sensors, instrumentation, and tooling.
• Perform pre-test checkouts, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration readiness, and equipment health monitoring.
• Maintain test logs, as-run documentation, configuration records, maintenance histories, tooling, consumables, and test-cell readiness.
• Support qualification, acceptance, and production-rate testing while following requirements for vacuum, pressurized, high-voltage, and other hazardous operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in testing, laboratory work, manufacturing, maintenance, or a similar technical environment.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, fasteners, tubing, fittings, and electrical cabling.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and technical documentation skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR, including a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.

Nice to have

• Technical or vocational training, military technical experience, or a relevant associate degree.
• Experience with vacuum chambers, vacuum pumps, laboratory equipment, test instrumentation, sensors, or data acquisition systems.
• Experience with fluid systems, pressurized gases, propellant systems, or high-voltage electrical hardware.
• Experience supporting propulsion, aerospace, spacecraft, qualification, acceptance, or production-rate testing.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance, calibration, range safety, or hazardous operations requirements.
