Quality Technician/CMM Programmer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at a U.S. facility; the posting references Blue Ash, Ohio, and Centennial, Colorado. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Develop, validate, maintain, and execute PC-DMIS CMM inspection programs.
• Translate engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and GD&T requirements into inspection strategies and measurement programs.
• Perform advanced dimensional and visual inspections using CMMs, manual equipment, scanners, and automated metrology systems.
• Optimize probing strategies, fixturing, alignments, measurement methods, and inspection cycle times.
• Analyze inspection data, investigate dimensional nonconformances, and support root cause and corrective action activities with Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Maintain inspection plans, work instructions, customer data packets, certificates of conformance, calibration records, and other quality documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of experience in quality inspection, dimensional inspection, metrology, or precision manufacturing.
• At least three years of hands-on CMM programming and operation experience, including PC-DMIS program development, editing, debugging, validation, and optimization.
• Advanced ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, datums, tolerances, and geometric requirements.
• Experience in an AS9100, ISO 9001, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, additive manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Zeiss, Hexagon, Mitutoyo, Keyence, GOM, or other advanced metrology systems.
• Experience with CAD, model-based definition, ASME Y14.5, automated inspection, scanning, or optical measurement systems.
• Experience with First Article Inspection, AS9102, Measurement System Analysis, Gauge R&R, ERP/QMS systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Experience establishing CMM programming standards and mentoring technicians.
