Senior Data Engineer Consultant

Location: Antwerp, Belgium; flexible work across the office, home, and client sites.

What you will do

• Lead client engagements and co-design data engineering solutions from strategy through execution.
• Build scalable data architectures and pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Design cloud and distributed data solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, together with Spark and Kafka.
• Develop data models and optimize relational, NoSQL, time-series, and graph database solutions.
• Implement batch, streaming, and real-time integration patterns, supported by CI/CD and DataOps practices.
• Develop internal data engineering offerings, contribute to thought leadership, support business development, and mentor junior and medior consultants.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with substantial programming.
• 3–6 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic research.
• Experience or interest in Data Engineering, data and AI-related topics, and sectors such as Energy and Finance.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Fluent Dutch or French is required.
