Full Stack Engineer (Elixir Backend Focus)

hirify.global builds a loyalty points exchange platform that enables businesses and loyalty programs to issue, redeem, and exchange rewards as payment-like currencies.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, monitor, and improve Elixir services using Phoenix, Ecto, and OTP.
• Build and evolve partner-facing REST APIs with versioning, outbound webhooks, and delivery guarantees.
• Develop money-adjacent systems for ledgers, points balances, settlement, and reconciliation, prioritizing correctness.
• Own frontend features in React and TypeScript across admin and partner dashboards and their supporting APIs.
• Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code daily, review generated output, and perform substantive code reviews.
• Document technical reasoning through pull requests, architecture notes, and up-to-date documentation while collaborating on deployment, monitoring, and security in AWS.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years in backend engineering.
• 3+ years of production experience with Elixir, Phoenix, Ecto, and OTP.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including SQL, transaction semantics, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing REST APIs and processing background jobs with retries using Oban or an equivalent.
• 3+ years of React and TypeScript experience, including components, state, forms, validation, and error handling.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD; fluent English and daily use of AI coding tools are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM APIs or AI agent workflows.
• Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, LiveView, Node.js with Express, or GraphQL.
• Multi-tenant B2B platforms, multi-region architectures, observability tools, or SOC 2 exposure.
• Experience in loyalty, travel tech, payments, or FinTech.
