Software Engineer - Fullstack (Fulfilment) (Java/React)

Location: Based in or near Kraków, Poland; hybrid work with 60% of the week spent collaborating at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

Salary: 20,000–25,000 PLN gross per month under a permanent employment contract; B2B/IP arrangements are also available.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java microservices, REST APIs, and lightweight mobile-first progressive web applications.
• Support the modernization and automation of depot operations, including autonomous mobile robot adoption in fresh food depots.
• Design, propose, and review application and architecture solutions.
• Build reliable, secure, available, and high-performing services throughout their full lifecycle.
• Contribute code, review pull requests, define features, and proactively propose solutions.
• Communicate progress with the engineering team, management, and wider Tesco stakeholders while participating in on-call support.

Requirements

• At least four years of professional experience developing with Java 11 or newer.
• Experience designing and developing microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with test-driven development and Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Good English communication skills.
• Readiness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Exposure to React.
