Senior UX Designer - Whoosh

Location: Welwyn Garden City, with the team based in London; hybrid working with 60% of the week spent at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end UX design process for the Whoosh rapid delivery proposition, from user needs and problem definition through implementation.
• Create journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and tested product experiences.
• Work with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, UI Designers, and stakeholders to turn customer and business needs into effective solutions.
• Plan and facilitate workshops, design sprints, peer reviews, and collaborative design sessions.
• Use qualitative research, quantitative insight, analytics, and customer data to validate decisions and measure impact.
• Contribute to the Tesco Digital Design System and mentor other designers.

Requirements

• Strong experience in UX or product design, ideally with complex digital products or services.
• Strong understanding of user-centred and human-centred design principles.
• Experience taking UX work from discovery and research through design, testing, and delivery.
• Strong skills in information architecture, journey mapping, user flows, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Experience using customer research, analytics, and other data to inform and validate design decisions.
• Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, influencing, coaching, and mentoring skills.
