Packaging Manager (Global Production Centre)

Location: Hybrid, Nuneaton and Burton, United Kingdom; presence at a hirify.global office required for a minimum of 2 days per week

What you will do

• Lead the technical delivery and implementation of new and changed packaging across production facilities.
• Plan and lead packaging trials, line validation, and first production runs.
• Work with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and suppliers to deliver safe, efficient, and repeatable production.
• Investigate packaging-related production issues using structured root-cause analysis.
• Improve packaging quality, line efficiency, reliability, waste, manufacturability, cost, and sustainability.
• Build packaging capability and consistent technical ways of working across production facilities.

Requirements

• Experience in packaging development, engineering, or technical roles within FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer goods.
• Technical knowledge of packaging materials, filling and packing processes, and manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with packaging trials, line validation, first production runs, and technical issue resolution.
• Practical problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and packaging suppliers.
• Understanding of packaging specifications, change control, compliance requirements, and technical standards.
