Data Scientist, L30 (Fintech)

Location: Cardiff, London, or remote within the UK; distributed working within the UK includes ad hoc meetings in London. Relocation to the UK is supported.

Salary: £55,000–£75,000 per year, plus performance-linked incentive awards and benefits.

What you will do

• Apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to understand user behavior and inform product strategy.
• Help product teams define meaningful metrics and run A/B experiments to improve products.
• Develop a unified understanding of customer lifetime value and the effect of product features on profitability with the finance team.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure the right data is collected for relevant business insights.
• Work in a cross-functional product squad with engineers, designers, marketers, and product managers.

Requirements

• Solid grounding in SQL.
• Experience conducting large-scale A/B experiments.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to connect analysis to business outcomes.
• Ability to work hands-on while thinking strategically and proactively identifying issues and opportunities.
• Team-oriented approach and willingness to contribute across data science product areas.
• Python experience is preferred.
