Network & Security Engineer (CCN-STIC/ENS)

Location: Getafe/Madrid Area, with the position based at CLAEX, Torrejón Air Base, Spain. Hybrid working is available when possible, with 40% remote work; on-site presence is required for laboratory, rig, and technical assistance activities. Applicants must fulfill the requirements to obtain HPS NATO (Secret) and National Spanish Security clearance.

What you will do

• Design, configure, and administer local area networks, including switches, routers, VLANs, and STP.
• Administer private networks, IPSec VPNs, SSL/TLS connections, and secure tunnels.
• Implement CCN-STIC security measures covering infrastructure protection, communications, segmentation, and access control.
• Ensure compliance with the National Security Framework for medium- and high-category information systems.
• Harden network equipment, monitor traffic, manage firewalls, detect threats, and support secure access and network segmentation projects.
• Provide advanced technical support and maintain the MaTE Test Support System installed in laboratories and rigs.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Aeronautics, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience administering and securing local and private networks.
• Practical knowledge of CCN-STIC guidelines and experience in environments regulated by the ENS.
• Experience analyzing risks and preparing technical documentation in accordance with the ENS.
• Ability to obtain HPS NATO (Secret) and National Spanish Security clearance.
• Intermediate to advanced technical English is desirable.

Nice to have

• CCN-CERT STIC courses, CCNA, CCNP Security, or other network and security certifications.
• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and enterprise VPN tools.
• Experience in public administration or organizations handling sensitive information.
• Experience with Test Support Systems, especially the MaTE environment for the EF-2000 platform.
