Generative AI Engineer (Product Intelligence)

Location: Must be based in or near Kraków, Poland. Hybrid role with 60% of the week, or three days, spent collaborating at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

Salary: 20,000–25,000 PLN gross per month.

What you will do

• Lead generative AI feasibility studies and proofs of concept, then turn successful concepts into production designs.
• Design and build Python services integrating Azure OpenAI GPT-4 through a GenAI Service facade, including prompt engineering, evaluation and iteration.
• Build embedding-based similarity and scoring pipelines with PostgreSQL and pgvector.
• Develop event-driven, high-volume data processing services on Apache Kafka.
• Contribute to LLM observability, regression testing, drift detection, human-in-the-loop validation and responsible AI governance.
• Collaborate with product managers, data stewards and engineers to translate ambiguous product intelligence problems into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Recent production experience building backend services in Python with FastAPI, Django, Flask or a similar modern framework.
• Hands-on production or near-production experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Experience with embeddings and vector similarity using pgvector or an equivalent vector database.
• Good understanding of event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and software engineering practices including CI/CD, testing and code review.
• Ability to work through ambiguous research-shaped problems and communicate clear requirements and implementation plans.

Nice to have

• Experience with Langfuse or similar LLM observability and evaluation tooling.
• Experience with multi-agent systems, Java/Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service or Terraform.
• Knowledge of retail, e-commerce, data quality or governance principles.
• Experience mentoring or upskilling others in applied generative AI.
