Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Cologne, with the accounting team based at the Head Office in Sevenum. The role is primarily office-based; eligible roles may arrange work from home, including up to 20 days per year anywhere in the EU.

What you will do

• Process and verify supplier invoices by matching them with purchase orders, goods receipts, and contractual agreements.
• Prepare payment proposals and support AP closing activities in line with company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with Procurement, Warehouse, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to internal and external Accounts Payable queries and maintain professional supplier relationships.
• Maintain supplier master data, including bank details, and reconcile supplier ledger accounts.

Requirements

• Relevant professional experience in accounting or finance, ideally in Accounts Payable.
• Completed commercial or financial qualification, or several years of practical finance experience.
• Strong numerical skills and a structured, precise, detail-oriented working style.
• Fluent English is required.
• German language skills are advantageous.
