Corporate Strategy Lead (Biopharma)

What you will do

• Lead transversal strategic planning and portfolio evaluations across the pharmaceutical R&D and commercial pipeline.
• Conduct financial and strategic analyses, including risk-adjusted NPV modeling, portfolio optimization, competitive landscape assessment, and scenario planning.
• Evaluate business development, licensing, and M&A opportunities to strengthen portfolio positioning and address strategic gaps.
• Prepare Portfolio Strategy Week activities and facilitate the therapeutic area strategy network across global functions.
• Translate complex R&D, commercial, and financial data into recommendations for executive governance forums and the Strategy Board.
• Mentor junior strategists and support alignment across R&D, Commercial, Finance, and Business Development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree such as a PhD in Life Sciences, MD, or PharmD is preferred.
• 10+ years of combined experience in strategy consulting and pharmaceutical or biotech industry roles.
• Deep understanding of the full R&D value chain, from target identification and clinical development through regulatory approval, launch, and lifecycle management.
• Advanced financial modeling, competitive intelligence, strategic framework, and executive communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and build alignment in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Fluency in English is required; French or other languages are an asset.

Nice to have

• Experience at an MBB or Tier 1 strategy consulting firm.
• Hands-on BD/M&A experience, including deal evaluation, due diligence, or transaction execution.
• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, medicine, or pharmacy.
