Director of Market Development (Data Analytics)

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa. Hybrid position requiring in-person work at an assigned hirify.global office for a minimum of two days per week.

What you will do

• Define and execute market development strategies that drive scalable growth.
• Deliver market sizing, market intelligence, and localization support for adjacency strategies.
• Lead thematic selling strategy, playbook development, and seller industry training.
• Provide industry and client growth insights to inform go-to-market plans.
• Identify use cases, influence product lifecycle decisions, and support solution adoption and revenue growth.
• Activate strategic client events, ecosystem partnerships, thought leadership, and brand-building initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in market development, strategy, or go-to-market roles within B2B or data-driven industries.
• Ability to translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
• Experience working across complex, matrixed organizations and multiple geographies.
• Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, market sizing, and commercialization skills.
• For positions based in South Africa, preference is given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity plan and targets.
