Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence - Six Sigma Master Black Belt (Six Sigma)

Location: United States, Texas; hybrid work with an average requirement of two days per week from a designated HPE office. Domestic and international travel may be required, typically less than 10%.

Annual base salary: USD 119,500–275,000 in Texas. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead, hire, manage, and develop a global team of direct-report Six Sigma Black Belts.
• Lead complex, high-visibility operational-improvement initiatives sponsored by executive leadership.
• Oversee an Operational Excellence project portfolio across functions and regions, helping prioritize projects by impact, feasibility, and capacity.
• Apply Six Sigma methods, statistics, process mapping, root-cause analysis, and advanced analytics to define solutions.
• Use Python or R to extract, prepare, and analyze complex datasets, and validate the team’s conclusions and recommendations.
• Report progress, risks, decisions, KPIs, governance, and business impact to executives while partnering with Finance to validate cost savings.

Requirements

• Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification and at least 10 years of experience leading complex Six Sigma projects and teams.
• Experience in the technology industry, complex manufacturing, and business-process environments.
• Demonstrated success leading global, cross-functional improvement programs and managing direct reports.
• Expert knowledge of Six Sigma, statistics, process mapping, root-cause analysis, and quality tools.
• Hands-on proficiency with Python or R for complex data analysis, plus strong executive communication, facilitation, and project-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, data science, business, operations, or a related field. Ability to work from the designated office at least two days per week is required.

• Experience with outsourced supply chains and contract manufacturers.
• PMP certification.
