Backend Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain robust backend applications and services.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with database and messaging-system integrations.
• Write automated tests and support continuous delivery practices.
• Apply security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and other specialists to deliver business-driven solutions.
• Contribute to code quality, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java 8 or higher; Java 11+ is preferred.
• Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git or similar version control tools and test automation using tools such as JUnit or Mockito.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, TDD, and effective collaboration in global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, JPA, or Hibernate.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Experience with Agile ways of working and adaptability to change.
