Director, Data Science & Analytics, Finance (Hybrid - NYC)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop a data science roadmap supporting finance priorities and business objectives.
• Partner with finance leadership to identify opportunities, define success measures, and communicate recommendations.
• Lead analytics, forecasting, anomaly detection, and automation initiatives across financial planning, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Integrate financial data from enterprise platforms and deploy reliable solutions into production.
• Establish standards for data quality, model validation, documentation, access controls, and responsible AI.
• Coach and develop a data science team, manage cross-functional priorities, and present business impact to finance executives.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field, including at least 3 years leading major cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience partnering with finance leadership and working with financial data, reporting processes, and enterprise financial systems.
• Strong skills in statistics, forecasting, experimentation, machine learning, Python, and SQL.
• Experience deploying and monitoring production data products or models with attention to accuracy, auditability, and controls.
• People leadership, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps, generative AI evaluation, and data governance in a regulated environment.
• AWS application development experience with services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
