What you will do

• Make and complete splices in various types of communication cables.
• Install, maintain, and repair outside cable facilities and customer services.
• Review and analyze complex schematic drawings.
• Use electrical test instruments to identify defective wire or fiber.
• Climb poles and ladders or operate truck-mounted hydraulic aerial lifts when required.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to meet a 300-pound weight limit, including tools and materials, due to safety restrictions.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening and required technical testing.
