Electrical Engineering Intern

Salary: $24.25–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide technical support to staff and customers.
• Perform testing on new and existing electrical grid technologies.
• Assist engineers with electrical enclosures, test racks, simulators, and customer protection and automation systems.
• Assist with HMI creation, PLC programming, power system studies, and SEL relay settings.
• Research and test new tools and technologies while maintaining knowledge of SEL processes.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field, with at least one year of technical coursework completed.
• Experience with programming and script files.
• Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems, emulators, and logic analyzers.
• Ability to use Microsoft Windows and serial port terminal emulation software.
• Strong writing, documentation, speaking, learning, and teamwork skills.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.
